1. What This Website Is
This private reference site is independent of every government office. It does not store official criminal records, conduct official checks, retrieve records, or submit documents for a user.
Its purpose is to identify the Carter County Sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry, and other official sources that maintain Carter County records. Some pages also connect users to outside search tools.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Using the site means you will not:
- Use automated scrapers, bots, or similar collection tools
- Violate a local, Missouri, or federal law
- Attempt unauthorized entry into a system or account
- Use information to threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass a person
- Rely on site content for an FCRA-regulated decision

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information found here or through a linked tool must not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Missouri registry information has added safeguards. Section 589.425 RSMo addresses unlawful conduct tied to registry information. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry supports public awareness, not confrontation or vigilante action.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Site data and linked search tools may not be used to:
- Evaluate a person's eligibility for credit
- Make an employment decision
- Screen a housing applicant
- Set insurance eligibility or terms
- Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose
A lawful regulated check must come through an authorized official process or an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider. MACHS is operated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, but the requester remains responsible for choosing a check authorized for the intended use.
5. No Legal Advice
The site provides general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Carter County charge, warrant, conviction, or Missouri expungement statute applies to a particular person. Seek advice from a licensed Missouri attorney.
